Joo Young, having been born into the church, has always been involved in religious activities as a child however it wasn’t until his Freshman year in college where he encountered the risen Lord. It was at this season of life where he found his identity and began to seek the Lord’s direction for his life. Now it wasn’t about mere religious activities but all about Christ and loving God and his people. In his 20s and 30s, he has served in his local churches as well as various parachurch ministries as a worship leader, most notably for Victory World Church and Restoration Ministries. In 2015 he started his M. Div at Reformed Theological Seminary as a part-time student.

As a tentmaker, Joo Young is a CPA by trade and a business owner. He is married to his beautiful wife Lauren of 10 years and has 2 silly daughters - Shiloh and Karis. That being said, the current #1 song on his playlist is the soundtrack “Let It Go” by Frozen.
