3PM - 4PM

Centennial Olympic Park I Baker St & Luckie St

Dear 4Pointes Family,

In light of the past events that have occurred over the past weeks, the burden and call to take action has weighed heavily on our hearts as a leadership to respond actively and practically. We will be hosting our second prayer walk on Saturday June 20th from 3PM - 4PM, at Centennial Park for us to pray together as the Body of Christ for our community, our city, and our country. As we walk and pray, it is an opportunity for us to come together to lift prayers on behalf of the black community, law enforcement, the marginalized, and communities whose voices have not been heard. It is simply a way for us to be advocates and intercessors who ask God’s shalom to come upon our community.

We will aim to meet at 2:30 PM on the corner of Baker St & Luckie St. There are parking decks as well as paid parking lots in the area. At 3PM we will walk together praying over different topics while circling the park together. The one thing we ask is that you adhere to the guidelines listed below for your safety and the safety of others. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor Andrew by emailing him at Andrew@4pointes.org or texting 847-691-0722.

PRAYER WALK THROUGH THE PARK GUIDELINES

This is a prayerful, peaceful, and non-violent walk. Please be at the location by 3PM to participate fully in the Prayer Walk. If you arrive after 3PM, feel free to join in as we will be walking the perimeter of Centennial Olympic Park.

What to do in case of the following:

  • Violence: Stand back from violence to see if it escalates, if it does, please quickly and safely leave the scene and reconvene at the parking lot starting location. Do not engage in the violence or try to stop the aggressors. Watch for direction from the pastors.

  • Arrests: Do not resist arrest, but rather submit. If you witness an arrest, do not intervene. If you are witnesses to anyone in the prayer walk engaging with law enforcement, immediately inform Pastor Andrew.

  • Being yelled at: Do not yell back but pray for those who are yelling. Keep your focus on prayer.

  • If requested to leave by police: Obey what the police say, following the leadership of pastors.

How the prayer walk will work

  • Pastor Andrew will begin with instructions beginning at 4PM. Once all the information is shared, we will begin our prayer walk by walk South along Park Avenue West. There we will make a left turn at Marietta Street, Left turn at COP Drive, left at Baker St, and return to Luckie St. We will walk this route continuously for the next 45 minutes to an hour. Everyone will be dismissed at around 4PM

  • We ask that any signage carry messages of encouragement and hope. No messages that are derogatory or instigating violence will be allowed.

  • If you are approached by any media and do not feel comfortable making a comment or statement, please direct them to Pastor Andrew. His cellphone number is 847-691-0722.

  • We ask you refrain from recording or "posting" on your social media during the Prayer Walk, as we want to honor our time of prayer to the Lord.

  • We will be stopping to share prayer topics throughout the walk, which will be shared by the staff of 4Pointes. We will conclude at 3:45 with a final time of silent prayer while kneeling for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

Cornerstone

My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly trust in Jesus' name

Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior's love
Through the storm
He is Lord
Lord of all

When darkness seems to hide His face
I rest on His unchanging grace
In every high and stormy gale
My anchor holds within the veil
My anchor holds within the veil

Christ alone, Cornerstone
Weak made strong in the Savior's love
Through the storm
He is Lord
Lord of all

When he shall come with trumpet sound
Oh, may I then in Him be found
Dressed in His righteousness alone
Faultless, stand before the throne

Christ alone, CornerstoneWeak made strong in the Savior's loveThrough the storm

He is LordLord of all

Build My Life

Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Jesus, the Name above every other name
Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You

Oh, we live for You

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Oh, we live for You

Jesus, the Name above every other name
Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Oh, we live for You

And holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me

And I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken

Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
